Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has urged other world leaders to strike up a meaningful conversation about climate change at this week’s G20 Conference, reports Business Insider. The Japanese Prime Minister wrote an article for a German newspaper focusing on the importance of a united front against climate change. The article comes in the wake of President Trump’s withdrawal from the landmark 2015 Paris Climate Agreement.
Following May’s G7 summit, which highlighted the differences between President Trump’s climate beliefs and the rest of the world’s, many global leaders made vocal the importance of combating climate change. Mr. Abe’s newspaper article is the most recent declaration. The world’s 20 largest economies will meet in Hamburg, Germany this week.
