Sarah Castle

Sarah Castle is independent consultant working primarily on issues relevant to women’s sexual and reproductive health. Dr. Castle has over 20 years’ experience as a researcher in family planning and has worked on a range of projects that benefited from her programmatic and policy expertise. Dr. Castle’s knowledge helped her establish an extensive list of clients—including USAID, the World Bank, UNFPA, DFID, Save the Children, EngenderHealth, and Concern Worldwide. Her previous projects have ranged from writing country reports, conducting program and process evaluations, creating evaluation and learning frameworks, and engaging in stakeholder consultations. She is particularly interested in the sociocultural issues that lie behind unmet need and contraceptive issues in relation to adolescents.
