In December 2015, 194 countries met in Paris to adopt the Paris Agreement on climate change, a historic climate accord that commits the world to reducing emissions to keep global warming below 2°C. As countries implement policies to meet the national commitments that make up the backbone of the Paris Agreement, it’s essential that we understand the full global emissions picture and the top contributors to climate change, both by country and by sector.
A new interactive chart from World Resources Institute measures the impact of specific countries and sectors on global greenhouse gas emissions. Because as they say, “If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it.”
